SWEEPTOKEEP PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated June 7, 2012

7221282 Canada Ltd., carrying on business as SweeptoKeep (“we” and “us”) is committed to ensuring that it complies with all applicable legislation, including legislation respecting privacy and the use of personal information it collects in the course of its business.

We only collect personal information for purposes directly associated with our business activities. For example, we only collect personal information from individuals when they volunteer their information in the following types of situations: to register on our Website, enter a contest or participate in a promotion or to claim a prize or to respond to or participate in a survey or in a poll; to send us a comment about our business; or to respond to a question or concern.

We only collect and use your personal information with your knowledge and consent, except in limited and specific circumstances, and as permitted by law.  For example, we reserve the right to collect, use or disclose any information as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or legal responsibility; to protect our legitimate business interests; to fulfill your requests; or to cooperate in any law enforcement investigation or an investigation on a matter of public safety.

Except in such specific circumstances, you may withdraw your consent to our use of your personal information at any time.

We will only collect personal information necessary to meet an identified purpose.  We will collect this information lawfully and fairly.  For example, if you enter a contest, we need your name and other contact information so that we (or a Prize supplier) may contact you if necessary, for example but without limiting the generality of the foregoing, for delivery by us or by the Prize supplier, to you of a Prize in a contest.  In addition, if you are a winner of a Prize, your “username”, city and Province/territory or residence will be posted on the contest website (the “Website”) www.sweeptokeep.com along with the same personal information as that of other persons who have won Prizes in a contest.  Further, we may require additional information from you, again without limiting the generality of the foregoing, to verify a potentially winning or a winning entry, to obtain a declaration and release from you if you are a potential Prize winner, and to verify your eligibility to enter a contest.  We also may use your personal information to collect any monies you owe to us.

You should be aware that Prize suppliers may be based in countries outside Canada, whose laws provide for a different standard of protection for your personal information than that provided under the Canadian law and in this Privacy Policy.  In such circumstances we will have in place contractual arrangements which will require your data to be processed at least to a standard compliant with what we use now.

We are the sole owner of the information collected on the Website. For your information, the Website collects personally identifiable information from its users at several different points.

When we collect personal information from you, we will use it only for its identified purposes.  We will not disclose it without your knowledge other than to our agents and/or other entities acting on our behalf.  We retain personal information only as long as necessary to meet the identified purpose(s).  Personal information that is no longer required will be destroyed or made anonymous.  Occasionally, with your permission, we will send marketing information to you, such as a regular newsletter describing future contests and Prizes available to be won.  By registering on the Website and checking the applicable “box”, you consent to us collecting and retaining your personal information and to our sending you relevant communications.  You can revoke that consent at any time by written request sent to, and received by us, or by un-checking the “box” on your Edit Profile page on the Website.

We may consolidate your personal information with the personal information of other persons which we collect in the course of our business, and then prepare studies, reports and/or other releases for transfer and/or sale to third parties.  However, in such a case or cases in no circumstances will you or your personal information be individually identifiable.

In the course of managing business operations, we may share personal information with other entities such as professional advisors, suppliers, or agencies. Any entity with which we share personal information is required to comply with this Privacy Policy.

We may engage other entities to perform a variety of functions, such as fulfilling orders, assisting with promotions and contests, or providing technical services for the Website and information technology systems.  These entities may have access to your personal information, if needed, to perform such functions.  However, these entities may only use such personal information for the purpose of performing that function for which the information was provided, and may not use it for any other purpose.

Subject to any expressed disclosed transfers or disclosures set out in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, transfer or disclose personal information to entities outside our corporation.  However, with your permission, we may on occasion send marketing information on behalf of one of our promotional partners ("partners") about products or services they provide that may be of interest to you.  You may be asked if you wish to receive marketing materials from our partners.

Generally, we only collect personal information that is directly supplied by you.  In such cases, we will take reasonable care to try to record your data correctly, but will typically not make any effort to verify its accuracy or update it.  For example, if you provide us with a phone number or address, we will assume it is correct and current.

We take reasonable efforts to protect all personal information collected and held by us. We have implemented safeguards to attempt to prevent loss or theft, unauthorized access, use, disclosure, copying or modification.  In the event that we transfer or disclose personal information to another entity, we require that entity to comply with the principles set out in this Privacy Policy.

We recognize that, under certain laws, you may have a right to access your personal information. In that regard, an access request must be made in writing and must be mailed to the attention of our Privacy Manager, as follows:

Note that, depending on the nature of the request, and where permissible, we may charge an administration fee.
